Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), to support student communication needs in a school setting located in Metairie, LA. This contract position begins immediately and will continue through the remainder of the current school year, with potential to extend into the next school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and consultation services to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and certification; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within public school settings, preferably with diverse student populations
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessment and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Location and Schedule:
- This position is based onsite in Metairie, LA
- Flexible hours within the window of 8:20 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
