Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within a school setting located in Berwick, LA. The role primarily focuses on pediatric speech therapy services and includes an additional commitment of one day per week supporting occupational therapy needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based speech-language pathology services to students across various grade levels.
• Collaborate with educational staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation to monitor student progress.
• Support occupational therapy caseload one day per week, assisting with interventions and therapy sessions.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administration to ensure comprehensive student care.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings.
• Eligible or completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
• Strong caseload management skills, with the ability to handle diverse grade levels.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Contract Duration & Start Date:

• This is a contract position commencing as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year (EOSY) with potential for renewal.
