Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available on a part-time contract basis in Metairie, LA. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized speech and language therapy services to students within an educational setting, supporting their communication development and academic success.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working in school environments
  • Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Ability to deliver services via teletherapy
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Background in healthcare or pediatric settings is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services both in-person and through teletherapy platforms
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in meetings related to student performance and intervention plans
