We're hiring a full-time Janitor to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the West Fraser Joyce facilities, buildings, and grounds. This position works a Monday-Friday schedule and plays an important role in keeping our site safe, clean, and welcoming. What You Will Do:

Clean offices, hallways, bathrooms, break areas, common use areas of the facility i.e., parking lot walkways, doorways, floors, cabinets, light fixtures, tables, etc.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Gather and empty trash.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Run sweeper.
Maintain janitor closets and equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner.
Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
Work in safe manner in accordance with OSHA & company safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum age of 18 years.
Excellent safety record.
Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program.
Ability to operate equipment safely while maintaining production and quality standards.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Good safety, attendance, and performance record.
Able to identify issues and take action to resolve them.
Physically capable of performing job duties – standing, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, etc.
Knowledge of MSDS, safe work practices, and emergency response.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
