Job Description

Please note: This is an on-call position, but there will be opportunities to have a steady schedule during Constellation’s busy season (late fall into early winter). You will be required to conduct a 1:1 interview with Philip before being placed onto a recurring schedule.

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is seeking a committed Server to provide a 5-star guest experience as we open our new restaurant and bar. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a welcoming, fun, and distinctive guest experience for every patron in our facility. They will also have a collaborative spirit and enjoy the pace and teamwork elements of working in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

  • In addition to taking orders accurately and efficiently, you provide epic guest experiences with thoughtful suggestions, sharing the history of NGBD and educating guests on our whiskey and food  

Educates guests in an honest way about the history of our distillery, our whiskey, and our food.

- Ensures guest expectations are being met by executing proper sequence of service in a timely, efficient and thoughtful manner

- Maintains the details of table and restaurant cleanliness in all areas of the building, throughout all hours.

- Completes set-up, side work and closing tasks as assigned and/or directed in a timely manner.

- Works closely with Lead Server and team members to ensure all tasks are being completed thoroughly, correctly, and efficiently during the shift.

- Maintain uncompromised professionalism and composure in all situations.

- Greet guests and provide friendly customer service

- Take food and beverage orders

- Deliver and serve food and drink items to guests

- Monitor and maintain buffet stations to keep them stocked and organized

- Helps set and bus tables

- Is comfortable working in a busy environment

- Ability to stand for long durations during the entire shift

- Can lift, move, and carry food items and trays

- Follow all sanitation and safety rules and regulations

- May be required to assist with event furniture setup / teardown

Minimum Qualifications

- 1+ year of experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a server position

- Collaborative spirit and desire to work in a team environment.

- Have or obtain any certifications or permits required for handling or serving food and alcohol in Davidson County.

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (must have flexible schedule)

- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in a high stress environment.

- Commitment to deliver an outstanding guest experience
