Electronics Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading technology and engineering organization, is seeking a Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Validation/Testing Department supporting digital solutions integration and project execution. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and team leadership abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electronics Controls Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH (onsite)

Pay Range: $54.38/hr. - $62.14/hr. 

What’s the Job?

• Lead a small validation team (2-3 engineers), including workload planning, task assignment, and performance evaluation
• Provide technical guidance and support integration of digital solutions from development through release
• Execute end-to-end testing, including planning, execution, and documentation in PLM systems following Agile practices
• Design and enhance test strategies, including OTA and data acquisition validation scenarios
• Develop automation tools and reusable test artifacts to improve efficiency and test coverage

What’s Needed?

• Advanced OTA testing experience, including scenario design and edge case identification
• Intermediate knowledge of communication protocols (CAN / J1939 / UDS) and debugging network issues
• Embedded/device validation experience with end-to-end test execution and quality assurance
• Basic team leadership experience, including task assignment and mentoring
• Familiarity with Agile practices, test documentation, and PLM systems
