Wheel Core Buyer

Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout your assigned territory to source and purchase automotive wheel cores from vendors, recyclers, and repair facilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady pipeline of inventory
  • Lead in-person negotiations, finalize pricing, and successfully close purchase agreements
  • Identify and onboard new vendors through prospecting, cold outreach, and site visits
  • Secure favorable pricing while ensuring quality standards and supply reliability
  • Coordinate logistics, including scheduling pickups and managing deliveries to designated locations
  • Accurately track and document purchases, pricing, and vendor activity
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing shifts, and competitor activity within the region
  • Partner with internal teams to align purchasing efforts with operational and production needs
  • Proactively resolve issues related to inventory availability, quality, or delivery timelines
  • Provide support across additional regions or projects as business needs evolve

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in automotive sales, purchasing, or related field
  • Experience with automotive parts, wheels, or cores strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals in a face-to-face environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a travel-heavy role
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple vendors and transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM or purchasing systems
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Authorized to work legally in the United States
