We are seeking a hands-on Welding Production Supervisor to lead a 1st shift team in a heavy steel manufacturing environment. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a skilled union workforce and driving daily production, safety, and quality performance.

Welding Production Supervisor Benefits and Compensation:

Base Salary: $60,000
Daily overtime structure (9.5-hour equivalent workday); OTE approximately $80,000
Bonus eligible after one full year of employment
1st Shift | 4:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible start)

Welding Production Supervisor Requirements & Qualifications:

3+ years of supervisory experience in welding or heavy fabrication
Proven proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding processes
Strong welding blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Ability to lead effectively within a union manufacturing environment

Must haves:

Direct supervision of production associates
Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills
Execution of daily production schedules to meet throughput and delivery targets
Ability to monitor workflow and reallocate labor during the shift to maintain efficiency
Active participation in weekly production leadership meetings
Enforcing OSHA and company safety standards while maintaining output
Troubleshooting weld defects and implementing corrective actions

Experience overseeing layout and fit-up work
Background in high-mix, heavy steel production
Experience tracking labor efficiency, scrap, and rework metrics
Hands-on oversight of layout, fit-ups, and weld quality
