Job Details
Duties:
- Superior welding skills
- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints / drawings and formulate the fabrication
- Fit and weld complex shapes, materials and designs
- Proficiency with tools and set ups, i.e., welding machines, precision measuring devices and hand and power tools, saws hand plasma cutting
- Proficient mathematical skills, using geometry
- Responsible for producing quality checks of parts welded, visual inspection of parts being produced with errors provided by engineering, laser and brake press, etc.
- Ability to design jigs and rigs used for weldments operating overhead crane and forklift to lift and move machinery components
- Basic welding machine maintenance
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent recommended, Welding Cerification from a technical school
- 5 years’ experience working within a welding shop using multiple disciplines of welding, machining, precision measuring devices and materials
