Warehouse Supervisor

Effectively supervise and support a department of employees within the warehouse. Essential functions include overseeing the day-to-day job duties of the warehouse employees on assigned team, providing training and support for all employees in their assigned job duties, holding associates accountable to measurable KPI's and ensuring they meet performance expectations, performing documented observations periodically, receiving inventory, stocking shelves, picking orders, performing administrative functions, packing orders and shipping orders as needed, ensuring that an atmosphere of safety, professionalism and respect for associates and customers exists in our warehouse at all times, communicating issues, opportunities and obstacles as they arise, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Knowledge, skills, duties and abilities include overseeing the receipt of inventory, stocking of shelves, picking of orders, packaging of orders and shipment of orders, supervising the check and restock merchandise & inventory process, inspecting for damage, verifying counts and "pick-readiness" on shelves, inspecting stock/return areas so that they are kept clean, neat and orderly, maintaining familiarity as well as knowledge of company product line locations and priorities regarding incoming orders and how they relate to fill rates, performing observations and providing feedback to assigned associates or teams to develop functional skills and the team overall, performing, participating and/or documenting the coaching, hiring, training, interviewing or disciplinary actions or any other administrative duties as needed as they relate to the coaching, development or career path of our associates, interacting and engaging with members of the management team across multiple shifts to ensure that our standards of communication, accuracy, quality and safety are maintained on a daily basis, maintaining a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts, complying with federal, state, local, OSHA and company policies, procedures, and regulations as they relate to our industrial/warehousing/distribution setting, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, honesty, customer service and professionalism that creates positive experiences reflecting well upon assigned department and the company, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as a self starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workflow based on corporate requirements and business needs, ability to communicate professionally and effectively with subordinates, peers and management, both verbally and in writing, participating directly and indirectly in employee coaching sessions and performance evaluations and exemplifying highest standards of discretion and confidentiality, familiar in the use of warehouse management systems and applications to leveraging the use of RF scanners that include, inventory control, stocking, receiving, picking and packing, ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team, strong organizational skills and flexibility, ability to manage time effectively, and performing other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned.

Conditions of employment include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, 1-3 years front line warehouse supervisory experience (preferred), must submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, provide and maintain a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation (MVR Report must be obtained by applicant and submitted for approval prior to hire date), and acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks, which will be provided at the time of hire.

Physical demands and working environment include able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and stoop, also required to climb, balance, crouch or crawl, squat, talk, speak, and hear, specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy. Must have considerable mobility, and able to stand and/or sit for long durations of time.
