Warehouse Associate with Class A CDL 3rd Shift
As a Warehouse Associate with a Class A CDL you will be responsible for Line Supply in the plant and safely and efficiently moving vehicles and trailers within a yard or facility. Your role will involve operating various types of equipment to transport and position vehicles as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates forklift and delivers line supply items to the production lines.
- Drives tractor/trailer to points designated by the warehouse to deliver trailers, pick-up trailers, and delivers trailers to the warehouse.
- Loads/unloads trucks and trailers of finished goods or raw materials safely, accurately, and carefully.
- Accurately picks and stages orders for each day's loadout, when needed. Warehouse, cooler and/or freezer work will be necessary.
- Maintains acceptable housekeeping in all areas worked for sanitation, health, and safety of everyone. Be able to inventory finished goods/raw materials as required.
- Operates tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local Laws regarding run times and DOT Regulations.
- Conducts daily pre-trip inspections and DVIR Reports to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip.
- Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensures seal on trailers, and conducts inspection of vehicle before and during trips.
- Promptly reports all problems to Management.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work overtime.
- Must possess simple math skills to account for goods and products.
- Capable of using handheld Warehouse Management System scanning devices.
- Capable of safely operating a Yard Truck and attaching trailers to them.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to interact well with others.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and code of conduct.
Education & Experience
- Employee must have a valid class (A) Commercial Driver License (CDL) in order to drive over-the-road for deliveries and pick-ups of materials.
- Must have no tickets/violations on driver's license in last 18 months. Employee must pass a road test administered by Country Pure Foods.
- Prior to the completion of the thirty (30) day trial period, an employee must successfully pass a driving and written test on forklift truck safety operations as required by OSHA. The passing score for this industrial powered forklift truck operator is 80%. - Strong drive and commitment to safety
