Responsibilities / Tasks
Location: Romeoville, IL
Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days onsite/1 day remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with local management to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.
- Financial Transparency: Ensure full transparency on the financial performance of our three locations through comprehensive analyses of prior year, budget, forecast and current year data.
- Communication: Develop and challenge budgets in the interest of the Division/GEA, and present budgets/monthly financials to local top-management and FT Division.
- Decision Making: Provide impactful and factual analyses to drive decision-making and determine processes with high strategic relevance.
- Internal Controls: Protect our assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing robust internal controls.
- Policy Enforcement: Guide financial decisions by developing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Audit Management: Monitor and confirm our financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
- Budget Process: Lead the budget process at a local level, supporting managers in both top-line and bottom-line (cost center) planning.
- Compliance: Stay ahead of federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, ensuring adherence, filing financial reports and advising management on necessary actions.
- Ad-Hoc Analyses: Conduct incident-based ad-hoc analyses to support short-term decision-making.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and identify financial opportunities and risks.
- Local Production Control: Oversee controlling of local production and cost centers.
- Initiative Execution: Follow up and control initiative execution to drive financial performance.
- Innovation: Develop and maintain local financial governance and improve ERP systems.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting or other related field of study.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Controlling and Finance
- Profound knowledge of controlling, accounting, and business valuation
- Experience in managing processes and financial software
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including team leadership, persuasion, conviction and well-argued reasoning
- Proven ability to maintain and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders
- Ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $175,000 - $225,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
