Halifax Veterinary Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who wants to fully utilize their technical abilities while working alongside a supportive, collaborative team that truly values patient care.
Our hospital is proudly led by Medical Director Dr. Gabriel Abreu, and we are continuing to grow! With two new doctors joining our team this summer, we are expanding and looking for additional team members who are passionate about veterinary medicine and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering excellent patient care while supporting hospital flow and client communication.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and dental cleanings with radiographs
• Maintaining efficient exam room workflow while supporting veterinarians during appointments
• Performing technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, injections, and radiology
• Reviewing treatment plans and providing clear, compassionate discharge instructions to clients
• Collaborating closely with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care
This role is perfect for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys a busy hospital, strong teamwork, and practicing high-quality medicine.
Schedule:
Flexible, full-time position with a 5/8 schedule. Availability needed Monday-Friday with future rotating Saturdays

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $17-25 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $500-2000 depending on experience and licensure
- CE allowance: Up to $1,000 for credentialed technicians in the state of FL

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Surgical monitoring and intubation
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Dental prophylaxis
- Radiology
- Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- Diagnostic radiology
