- Prior experience in Trusts & Estates, probate, or a related legal practice area preferred
- Strong understanding of estate planning documents and probate procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Prior experience working in a law firm environment (private client or estate practice strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with probate court procedures and filings
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions
- Professional, client-facing demeanor with a team-oriented mindset
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
- Support estate and trust administration, including probate filings and court documentation
- Prepare and file documents with probate courts, ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and government agencies
- Organize and maintain estate and trust files (electronic and physical)
- Assist with asset collection, valuation, and distribution
- Coordinate with accountants and advisors on tax-related matters
- Track critical deadlines, including court filings and tax submissions
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
