Job DescriptionNursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room care is needed for a travel assignment in Littleton, CO, supporting a high-acuity surgical unit. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic Main OR environment at a large hospital with 284 beds and a dedicated team of 55 OR staff members. The unit provides comprehensive surgical care excluding burns, transplants, and heart surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the Main OR for a variety of surgical procedures, excluding burns, transplants, and cardiac cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive surgical outcomes
- Utilize Meditech EMR system for documentation and communication
- Support trauma and vascular surgical interventions when applicable
- Adhere to unit policies and protocols to maintain high standards of care
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with experience in Operating Room nursing
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records system (required)
- ACLS and PALS certification (required)
- Trauma and vascular procedure experience highly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to varying patient demands
- Self-motivated, easy-going personality to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting
