Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology opportunity is available in Eugene, OR, offering leave coverage through June 12, 2026. This role is based onsite within a dynamic educational service district known for comprehensive support to students with diverse needs, including those with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral challenges, and at-risk youth. The position focuses on direct speech and language services as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing student communication and educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessment, intervention, and consultation services to students.
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize both low and high-tech augmentative communication systems tailored to student needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and document services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, staff training, and service planning within the special education framework.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate and severe disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with augmentative communication systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid Oregon Drivers License.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
