This travel opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room (OR) expertise to support a busy Main OR unit at a well-equipped healthcare facility in the Englewood, CO area. The position offers the chance to work overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, contributing to a skilled team that manages a variety of surgical cases excluding burns, transplants, and heart surgeries.
Location Overview:Situated near Lone Tree, CO, this facility serves a vibrant community with a licensed bed capacity of 284. The Main OR team comprises approximately 55 staff members with dedicated night shift coverage including RNs and surgical techs. The unit utilizes Meditech EMR systems and maintains a collaborative, self-motivated, and easy-going work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room personnel to ensure patient safety.
- Utilize Meditech EMR to document patient data and manage case workflow.
- Participate in trauma and vascular procedures as needed.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols, supporting high-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in Operating Room nursing.
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Trauma and vascular nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced OR setting.
