A healthcare facility in Sanford, ME is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support their Operating Room (OR) team on a 13-week travel assignment. This role offers a focused schedule of four 9-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, totaling 36 hours per week, with additional on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care in the operating room with a focus on orthopedic cases
- Perform circulating and scrub duties to assist surgical teams effectively
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Accurately complete timecards as per facility guidelines to avoid processing delays
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in the operating room, specifically strong orthopedic experience required
- Proven ability to function effectively in both circulating and scrub roles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
