A travel nursing opportunity to provide specialized care in the Operating Room is available in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves working as an RN Clinical Perioperative Nurse within an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, individualized patient care. Operating within a framework that promotes evidence-based practice and professional standards, the nurse ensures patient safety and service excellence while collaborating closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include performing the nursing processassessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluationwhile tailoring care to patient-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease profile. The role demands active partnership with patients and significant others through effective communication methods and bedside reporting. Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration, timely documentation, and fostering a respectful, inclusive clinical environment are essential. The nurse will also engage in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire
  • Less than 1 year experience accepted; accredited program completion mandatory
  • Proficient in English with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced settings and respond calmly to emergencies
  • Excellent time management and critical thinking capabilities

Schedule:

  • Day shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
  • Primarily Monday through Friday, with possible weekend call rotations
  • 30-minute call-back requirement
