Job DescriptionNursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver specialized patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, providing perioperative nursing services within a supportive interdisciplinary environment. This role requires proactive collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure individualized, high-quality, and safe care for surgical patients. Practicing under evidence-based standards, nurses will emphasize patient-centered care and participate actively in shared governance and performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation tailored to each patients needs.
- Deliver culturally sensitive, relationship-based care involving patients and families as partners.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and document safe, quality care.
- Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to promote clinical excellence.
- Serve as a mentor or preceptor for nursing staff and students, fostering professional development.
- Utilize current clinical standards and comply with legal, regulatory, and safety mandates.
- Manage resources efficiently to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond professionally in fast-paced or emergency situations, demonstrating strong critical thinking and time management.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Active RN license in a single state or multi-state Compact.
- Current BLS certification required upon hire.
- Less than 1-year nursing experience with direct patient care preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, technology, and communication skills.
- Ability to work decisively and respectfully under pressure.
Schedule and Location:
- Day Shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week, primarily Monday through Friday; occasional weekend call shifts with a 30-minute callback requirement.
