Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• Fortnight shift schedule
• Facility closed on Saturdays and Sundays
• Holidays are scheduled based on surgical volume and may require working on holiday dates

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety and care quality
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including sterilization and handling of surgical instruments
• Monitor patient status during surgery and respond to emergencies as needed
• Document all nursing care and surgical procedures accurately and timely

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with certification and experience in operating room nursing
• Ability to work efficiently within a surgical team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and OR protocols
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Flexibility to work shifts and on holidays as needed
