Deliver critical perioperative care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room in Urbandale, IA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room before, during, and after surgeries
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to maintain sterile and safe conditions
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
- Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for procedures
- Educate patients and family members about preoperative and postoperative care
Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure with valid credentials to practice in Iowa
- Proven experience or certification in Operating Room nursing (CNOR preferred)
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with surgical asepsis, instrumentation, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift
- Not required to work Saturday or Sunday shifts
- Holiday work assigned based on surgical volume and needs
