This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in operating room procedures. The role centers on providing expert circulating and scrub support in a dynamic surgical environment. The position offers a travel assignment, allowing for flexibility and the chance to work in a vibrant medical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide circulating and scrub nursing support during surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and care quality
  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for various ambulatory cases
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Document patient care and surgical activities accurately

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least 2 years of OR experience circulating
  • Scrub experience is strongly preferred
  • Preferred experience in ambulatory surgical cases including sports medicine, ENT, GYN, GU, ophthalmology, plastics, general surgery, oral, and minor vascular procedures
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred

Schedule & Location:

  • Rotation schedule with AM shifts working 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (approximately 40 hours)
  • Start times vary between 6:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. based on department needs
  • No weekend shifts, major holidays, or on-call responsibilities
  • Located in Dorchester, MA, offering a vibrant community and easy access to cultural and recreational activities in one of the regions most historic neighborhoods
