A travel Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available in the Operating Room (OR) at a well-equipped medical center located in Denver, CO. This role offers a dynamic environment working within a 284-bed facility known for its dedicated and experienced OR team. The OR unit operates with a skilled group of approximately 55 staff members, including specialized trauma and tech support, to deliver comprehensive surgical care.

Location:The facility is situated near Denver, CO, providing access to an urban setting with a variety of cultural, recreational, and dining options. As the mile-high city, Denver combines the amenities of a large metropolitan area with proximity to stunning mountain landscapes, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

Position Details:

  • Travel assignment with flexible scheduling options
  • Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
  • Unit: Main OR, handling a wide range of surgical cases except for burns, transplants, and heart surgeries
  • EMR system in use: Meditech

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with operating room nursing experience
  • Proficiency in Meditech EMR system required
  • ACLS and PALS certification mandatory
  • Preferred experience in trauma and vascular procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated and easy-going personality to adapt well to unit culture

Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team members to ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical equipment
  • Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes
  • Adhere to unit policies and guidelines to promote best practices
