This travel nursing opportunity specializes in perioperative care within an orthopedic operating room. The position requires an experienced RN skilled in operating room protocols, patient safety, and sterile technique, contributing to a focused team environment in a surgical setting.

Schedule:
- Daylight rotating shifts: 5:30 AM2:00 PM, 6:30 AM3:00 PM, and 7:30 AM until cases are completed (usually 4:00-4:30 PM)
- Weekend on-call coverage from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with 2 weekends required every 6 weeks
- No weekday call required; evening shift team stays late to complete elective or add-on cases as necessary, occasional extended hours up to 1-2+ hours
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during orthopedic surgeries, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile technique
- Collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team of 6 staff members (3 RNs and 3 surgical technologists) covering 2 orthopedic ORs five days a week
- Manage elective cases and respond effectively to add-on surgeries as scheduled
- Maintain clear communication and flexibility to support extended hours when cases run late
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure with relevant perioperative experience, preferably in orthopedic surgery
- Ability to work flexible hours and provide weekend on-call coverage as described
- Strong teamwork and communication skills within a small, focused surgical team
- Commitment to maintaining excellent patient safety and infection control standards
