Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available, offering an opportunity to provide essential therapeutic services to students in a school setting. This role involves travel to Coachella, CA, working within a supportive educational environment focused on helping children develop the skills necessary for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapies as appropriate to maximize outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory and school district requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to support student development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license with experience in school-based therapy
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and school-based therapy strategies
- Ability to work independently while managing a caseload efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interface with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility to travel to Coachella, CA as part of a full-time schedule
Location and Schedule:
- Position requires travel to Coachella, CA, with an emphasis on providing services during the school year (ASAP through the end of the school year plus the following year)
- Full-time commitment, approximately 40 hours per week
