Vactor Truck Operator
Driving/operating vactor truck related to the cleaning of underground storm structures, pipes, and hydro-excavation scopes of work. Be able to report to work by 6:00 am daily.
Be able to work and get along with others and take instructions.
This work requires accessing underground structures. This work is outside so one must be able to deal with different weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- To be able to properly, safely and effectively operate various types and size vactor trucks to support the installation of new underground water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage distribution systems.
- Knowledge of Federal Department of Transportation Regulations and any other governing jurisdiction or disposal facility that affects our work
- Take verbal instructions from the site foremen or crew leader to perform the required task.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- Required: Class "B" Driver's License with Tanker's Endorsement. Preferred: Class "A" Driver's License with Tanker's Endorsement.
- D.O.T. Medical Card
- Need to be able to operate manual or automatic transmissions
- Need to be able to pass the Montgomery Co. School background check
- Must be able to work with different climate conditions
- Ability to drive, lift and operate heavy tools and equipment
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
