The Outbound Supervisor oversees daily outbound activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient shipping of orders. This role leads and develops associates, drives safety and quality standards, and partners with cross-functional teams to support overall warehouse performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Lead day-to-day outbound operations include picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping.
  • Assign labor, monitor workflow, and adjust resources to meet service levels and customer delivery expectations.
  • Monitor outbound productivity metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with transportation/dispatch teams.
  • Train associates on outbound procedures, equipment and safety standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates
  • Conduct daily start-up meetings and communicate performance targets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with OSHA, Sonepar safety policies, and electrical handling standards.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and ensure all associates use required PPE.
  • Coordinate with the Safety and Maintenance teams for equipment inspections and incident reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Experience: 35 years in warehouse, logistics, or electrical distribution environment; 12 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., Eclipse) and barcode scanning technology.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; data-driven and safety-oriented.

Schedule: 2pm to 11pm
