We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior MEP Estimator (Mechanical) to join our team. As a Senior MEP Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical estimates for our construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed mechanical estimates for our construction projects, including piping, sheet metal, and plumbing works.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
- Provide Preconstruction services such as conceptual estimating, value engineering, and lifecycle analysis.
- Participate in the negotiation and award process of all major subcontractor contracts.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that estimates are accurate and that projects are executed within budget.
- Continually improve estimation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights related to the estimation process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP Estimating, specifically with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in piping, sheet metal, and plumbing estimation.
- Strong knowledge of Preconstruction services such as conceptual estimating, value engineering, and lifecycle analysis.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
