A California-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position starting in August, aligned with the upcoming school year. This opportunity serves K-12 students at a school located in Huron, CA, with an anticipated end date at the close of the current school year. The role provides an engaging environment to support a diverse student population through speech and language interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in California (required)
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in school-aged children
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
Position Details:
- Start Date: August (beginning of next school year)
- End Date: End of the school year
- Schedule: 37.5 to 40 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Caseload: Serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Hybrid work option available: 2-3 days working remotely to accommodate those with longer commutes
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation aligned with school policies
