An exceptional opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within a high school setting focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract role offers work at the Compass High Program in Ludlow, MA, a program dedicated to fostering independence and vital life skills through personalized education outside traditional classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech therapy services primarily supporting AAC needs, with an emphasis on implementation rather than evaluation.
  • Support students with ASD and diverse learning challenges in a high school setting.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create individualized strategies that promote communication and independence.
  • Maintain detailed progress notes and participate in program development as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold current credentials as a Certified School Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students.
  • Demonstrated ability to support AAC devices and systems.
  • Fulfillment of all applicable state licensure requirements.

Position Details:

  • Location: Ludlow, MA (with the clients main office in West Springfield).
  • Contract period: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026, with potential for extension into the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Weekly Hours: 15-20 hours, spread over 2-3 days.
