Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exceptional opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within a high school setting focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract role offers work at the Compass High Program in Ludlow, MA, a program dedicated to fostering independence and vital life skills through personalized education outside traditional classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech therapy services primarily supporting AAC needs, with an emphasis on implementation rather than evaluation.
- Support students with ASD and diverse learning challenges in a high school setting.
- Collaborate with educational staff to create individualized strategies that promote communication and independence.
- Maintain detailed progress notes and participate in program development as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold current credentials as a Certified School Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students.
- Demonstrated ability to support AAC devices and systems.
- Fulfillment of all applicable state licensure requirements.
Position Details:
- Location: Ludlow, MA (with the clients main office in West Springfield).
- Contract period: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026, with potential for extension into the 2026-2027 school year.
- Weekly Hours: 15-20 hours, spread over 2-3 days.
