Speech-Language Pathologist — Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF)
$35 – $45/hr. | Full-Time | Houston, TX | School-Based | Texas SLP License Required
About the Role: Launch your school-based SLP career with Point Quest Group. As an SLP Clinical Fellow, you’ll provide speech and language therapy services to K-12 students while completing your required Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under the guidance of a licensed CCC-SLP supervisor. You’ll conduct assessments, deliver direct therapy, and collaborate with teachers and families — gaining the hands-on school-based experience needed to earn your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and grow into a fully independent clinician.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
- Conduct assessments under supervision of a licensed CCC-SLP; co-sign all evaluation reports and IEP documentation per Texas TDLR licensure requirements
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute clinical observations and progress data
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support communication skill generalization
- Maintain accurate therapy notes, session data, and progress documentation
- Complete and log CFY hours in accordance with ASHA and Texas TDLR requirements
- Support SLPAs under the direction of your supervising CCC-SLP (if applicable)
What We’re Looking For:
Must Have:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
- Current Texas SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Eligibility for ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CFY not yet completed)
- Ability to obtain TEA fingerprint clearance (required for all Texas school personnel)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred:
- Practicum or externship experience in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with IEP processes, ARD meetings, and special education compliance
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for communication disorders in school-age populations
- Experience with school-based caseload management software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
