Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Surprise, Arizona. Deliver individualized education plans and support students' academic and social development. Contribute to a high-impact educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs
Implement instructional strategies that support students' academic and social development
Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support
Maintain documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or equivalent
Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE)
CPR certification
First Aid certification
NCI Training certification
Food Handlers Card
Minimum 1 year experience in special education or related field
Valid driver's license (front and back)
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Social Security Card
Negative Mantoux TB Test within 12 months or health provider's statement within 6 months
Two letters of recommendation from supervisor, co-worker, or personal
