The Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, efficient material flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to move incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Load and unload trucks, verifying counts, condition, and accuracy of materials.
• Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods; match shipments to purchase orders and packing slips.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, wrapping, staging, and completing required paperwork.
• Maintain organized inventory locations and assist with cycle counts or stock rotation.
• Communicate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
• Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and warehouse best practices.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.

Skills And Experience

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory labels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counts and documentation.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
• Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory and shipping systems.
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
