Warehouse Senior Operator / Material Handler
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Senior Operator / Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations, including material movement, inventory control, and team coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling, storing, and distributing materials while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational flow, inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse performance.
Responsibilities
Material Handling & Movement: Safely move, stage, and transport materials, components, and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Inventory Control: Accurately receive, store, pick, and issue materials while maintaining proper inventory records and system transactions.
Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by checking quantities, part numbers, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
Team Support & Coordination: Provide guidance and support to warehouse team members, assist with training, and help coordinate daily workflow to meet operational goals.
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently; perform routine equipment checks and report issues.
Documentation & Systems: Complete inventory transactions, shipping paperwork, and data entry in warehouse management systems accurately and on time.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving warehouse efficiency, organization, and safety; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with 5S or similar standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience
Prior experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lead by example and support team operations
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Physical & Environmental Demands
This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
Operation of material handling equipment and working in warehouse and industrial environments is required.
Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions.
Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
