Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer, PE with 15+ years of experience to lead projects, cultivate client relationships, and support business growth in the Clearwater/Tampa Bay region. This role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in a client-facing environment and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of an employee-owned firm.

This position emphasizes project oversight, team leadership, and business development rather than day-to-day technical production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee civil engineering projects as Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and overall financial performance
  • Serve as a primary client contact and trusted advisor
  • Develop and expand client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Support proposals, interviews, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Mentor and guide engineering staff while fostering accountability and collaboration
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Florida or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience, with a strong background in project management
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience overseeing project teams, budgets, and schedules
