Senior CNC Swiss Machinist Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
- 5+ years of Swiss lathe programming and setup experience
- Direct experience with Citizen Swiss turning centers and ESPRIT CAM software
- Ability to program both offline and on the machine
- Experience with multi-axis Swiss machines (live tooling, sub-spindle, B-axis preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Knowledge of metal properties (stainless, titanium, aluminum, etc.)
- Experience in troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience supervising or leading machinists (5+ team members)
- ERP experience (Global Shop Solutions a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Excel
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- Perform complete machine setups from print to production
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure safe machine operation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
