We are seeking a diligent Security Guard to join our team at a large senior living community in Salt Lake City, UT. Come join a team of dedicated, smart, and caring professionals as they work together to care for our seniors and provide them the lifestyle they deserve.

 What we offer

  • Competitive salary $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

  • Schedule available: Sunday to Friday; 11:30pm to 7:30 am

Job Description

Our over night Security Guard monitors the property for the safety and well-being of our residents and staff. The security guard is an integral part of the front desk team. The right candidate must be dependable, diligent, and detail oriented. 

Responsibilities

  • Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
  • Ability to navigate difficult situations with the help of management 
  • Act lawfully in to protect and report problems to law enforcement and management 
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and develop reports for use by leadership
  • Report in detail (verbally and in written form) any suspicious incidents
  • Patrol building and perimeter randomly and regularly
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form and cooperate effectively with others
  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
  • Detail oriented  
  • Integrity and professionalism
