Job DescriptionDegree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized physical therapy services to a middle school student with a traumatic brain injury in a school setting. This contract position involves one-on-one care, approximately 1 to 2 hours per month, supporting the student's rehabilitation and functional goals.
Location:
- San Pablo, CA (near Oakland)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized physical therapy or physical therapy assistant services tailored to a student with a traumatic brain injury
- Collaborate with school staff and family to develop and implement therapy plans
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication related to student care
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy
- Familiarity with working in school environments
- Experience in neurological conditions, specifically traumatic brain injury, preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
