Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide services within a school setting in Sterling Heights, MI. The role involves delivering both in-person and teletherapy OT services to support students developmental and functional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and deliver individualized intervention plans.
- Provide therapy sessions through teletherapy platforms as well as in-person when required.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials valid in Michigan.
- Experience working in school environments preferred.
- Familiarity and confidence with teletherapy service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs.
