Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in San Mateo, CA, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year, with hours starting around 10 per week and expected to increase as the year progresses. The role involves delivering specialized therapy services within a school setting to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to students needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students participation and success in the educational setting
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet changing student and program requirements throughout the school year
