Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in school settings. Serving multiple elementary school sites in Rockford, MI, this role involves managing a caseload of 50-60 children, providing essential OT services to support student development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to students' needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary.
- Travel between various elementary school buildings throughout the workday.
- Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations pertinent to school-based therapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure with credentials in pediatric or school-based therapy.
- Prior experience working within school environments highly preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Flexibility and reliability to cover multiple elementary school sites.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in Rockford, MI.
- Contract role covering various elementary school buildings.
- Working hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
