Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School-Based Occupational Therapist position is available in New York, NY, serving a PreK caseload with children ages 3-5. This full-time contract role operates from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, providing essential therapy services within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress to support developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
- Expertise working with early childhood populations, specifically ages 3-5.
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and PreK educational frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to manage a full caseload with organizational and time management skills.
