Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) specializing in early intervention services for children birth to 3 years old. This role is based in Malaga, WA, with full-time hours and a focus on supporting developmental needs through teletherapy and in-person sessions across multiple school sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing early intervention OT services for children from birth to age 3
- Delivering therapy both in-person and via teletherapy platforms
- Traveling between various school locations within the district
- Developing individualized treatment plans and documenting progress
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Maintaining caseload compliance and communication with families
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school and early intervention experience
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective teletherapy sessions
- Experience working in school-based settings serving young children
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
- Adaptability to manage caseload and travel between school sites
This position is a contract role starting as soon as possible, extending through the 2026-2027 school year. The school is open to negotiating two part-time OTs if preferred. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom or on-site, providing convenience and flexibility for candidates.
