Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to work part-time within a school setting, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Lakewood, OH, this contract role provides approximately 18.75 hours per week (2.5 days) with a caseload of 25 students. The role begins in March and continues through the remainder of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing developmental and functional challenges
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress in compliance with educational and healthcare regulations
- Utilize Medicaid billing for services rendered, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
- Support students in improving their motor, sensory, and daily living skills to enhance educational participation
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Ohio
- Experience working in school-based settings with a K-12 population
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25 students
- Proficiency in billing Medicaid for therapy services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
