Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, located in Jamaica, NY. This role focuses on providing therapy to PreK students ages 3-5, supporting their developmental and functional needs within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to young children in PreK.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old) in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with school-based OT practices and IDEA regulations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload and meet scheduling requirements.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
