Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a licensed occupational therapist to provide essential support to K-12 students within a school setting in Detroit, MI. The role involves helping students develop the skills needed for academic and daily living success, contributing to their overall wellbeing and educational progress. The position is contract-based, beginning immediately and continuing through June 10, 2026, with the possibility to renew for the 2026/27 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of K-12 students
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to create and implement individualized treatment plans
• Assess student needs and document progress regularly
• Support student participation in classroom activities and enhance their functional abilities

Qualifications and Preferences:

• Licensed occupational therapist in Michigan
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with children and multidisciplinary teams

Additional Details:

• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Contract duration: Start ASAP through June 10, 2026, with renewal options
• Located in Detroit, MI
