Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed professional counselor, social worker, or school psychologist is needed for a part-time contract position in Kingston, NH, serving a high school Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EBD) student population. This role offers the opportunity to provide targeted support and counseling to approximately 12 students, helping them navigate emotional and behavioral challenges within an educational setting.

Position Details:

  • Location: Kingston, NH
  • Schedule: 20 hours per week, spread over 3 days
  • Caseload: Approximately 12 high school students with EBD
  • Contract position

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Counselor, Social Worker, or School Psychologist
  • Valid license or certificate required; Statements of Eligibility are not accepted
  • Experience working with high school students, preferably within an EBD population
  • Strong understanding of behavioral interventions and counseling techniques suitable for adolescents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to students with emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to support student growth and success
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive educational environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
