Job DescriptionBachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a school setting located in Wheatland, CA. This contract role offers part-time hours, working 16 hours per week (2 days per week) with a focus on supporting students with moderate to severe behavioral needs.
Location: Wheatland, CA
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 3rd, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students.
- Support students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges in speech therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with educational and therapeutic staff to ensure consistency in student support.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification.
- Experience working in a school environment preferred.
- Ability to manage caseload involving moderate to severe behavior needs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work two days per week as scheduled.
