Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available for Fall 2026, starting in September for a 12-week assignment. This full-time opportunity offers 35+ hours per week, working onsite in Edison, NJ, within an established school environment focused on supporting students with diverse communication needs.
Three full-time positions need to be filled, primarily to cover maternity leave. Candidates with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology are preferred; however, Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply if they have secured outside supervision, as district supervision is not provided. Please note that Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for this assignment.
Positions Available:
- Two elementary school roles in settings with high Autism and preschool populations, serving grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. These positions are located at: An elementary school in Sewaren, NJ
An elementary school in Iselin, NJ - One additional school-based position, location to be determined.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey SLP License
- Valid New Jersey SLS Certification
- CCC certification preferred; CFs with outside supervision accepted
- Experience working with students diagnosed with Autism and in early childhood/preschool settings is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to students
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school policies and procedures
